Car: 53 Chevy Belair So I would like to keep the traditional teeth but more of them. On chevsofthe40s webpage have a kit for 53-57 Corvettes same grille teeth design but atlas i called and cannot give me length or thickness, DiA. Has anyone just used there stock grille and drilled for more teeth? I did search here and came up empty. Also pics would be awesome, thanks in advance.
Yes, you can just add more stock teeth to your original grille bar, that was the popular thing to do in the day. All 3 original teeth on a '53 grille are different, so if you want to add 2 more teeth, you'll need one left and one right tooth to add. They would go between the center tooth and the current outer teeth. If you want more than 5, I think you have to re-mount the original outer 2 to get the spacing right.
