"Play back on other websites has been disabled by the video owner" Why am I always interested in stuff I probably can't afford?
Looks like a normal laser that is out of focus, enough energy to light up anything that is combustible, but not enough to melt a metal substrate. Better than a parts washer, I guess.
Oh, sure.... You could at least set something on fire that way. But what are the chances that you could actually blind somebody?
Well let me just run out to garage and fire up the laser. Looks like a cool technology, don't think it would work well on pitted sheetmetal, wouldn't be much left. More suited for a production environment, maybe ultra clean room conditions. I know a guy that owned a machining business that supplied military for nuclear subs, he said things like $300 bolts, actually had that much work in them. Each bar would require multiple sample tests, and multiple material samples kept on file from each lot for a specified number of years. Each bolt had to certified to the material samples. The heat treats and coatings had the same scrutiny, each bolt was individually vac packed in a clean room, and not unwrapped until it was in the ***y clean room. Crazy stuff.
We had lasers at work to cut parts..All kinds of steels and composite [[fibergl***, kevlar, graphite, green gl***] so the right type will cut a gl*** car into little pieces..The tattoo removers may take your initials off the door....
Found another video of a bigger one in action and according to this the metal STAYS COLD this would be awesome to clean and remove paint from sheet metal car bodies and parts with no warping. http://tech.thaivisa.com/video-of-h...-off-old-metal-is-strangely-satisfying/17380/
I want a backpack version, so I can go to the rat rod shows, and "ruin" all the cars by zapping the rust off.
You win the internet for today with that one made me laugh out loud sitting here all by myself in front of the computer.
