1952-59 Ford Wonder if an offset booster/mc like this is available for 55 cars?

Does it have to offset it to the side? How about raised up?

'69-'74 ford vans used one that positions the booster and m/c under the dash.

Your obviously trying to clear something.

found in dodge vans of that same era. the early bronco aftermarket has an adapter that points the mc at an angle toward the driver side fender. one of those might work.

Looks to me that it would help with the install of a 351 Windsor. I just noticed this in a post regarding 55-57 Tbirds. I ***ume it is to allow VC clearance. Seems like there would be some value in Fairlanes also.

I'm planning on using a mid 60's Galaxie brake booster in my '55, they are small in diameter and have a slight rise in the mounting bracket like the aftermarket boosters.

I'm going to be running a 351c, I hope there is enough room for the Galaxie booster.

Are you staying with a single MC?

No, I'll just update the Galaxie booster with a later model master cylinder.

It was an Ebay ad for 55-57 Tbirds, but now I can't find it. I will look at ECI.

Yes, that kit seems to be over priced to me.

It just looks expensive because it is a big kit. It doesn't seem to bad to me. The offset boosters are around $475 (ECI), front brake kits $725 (dropnstop) then rear kits are usually in the $300+ range so.... that is over $1500 and here it is all put together in a package.

I guess it's all in your perspective, I've got less than $500 in my brake system, four wheel power discs, new dual master cylinder with proportioning valve. This includes the rear end I used with discs.
$1600 seems kind of pricey to me.

New master cylinder with built-in proportioning valve, new hoses, new pads. I'm thinking for the additional $1000 I could get new rotors and booster too. If I was still working and flush with money, I might go with the kit.

My wife won't drive my 40 or 53 F100, I want her to feel comfortable driving the 55 Sunliner. I am going to do my best to make that happen.

I hope this reply works. I have the power brake booster and m/c from a 1970 Torino on my 55 Meteor. It was a bolt on and works well with my Granada disc brakes. Way cheaper than the kit in your first post.

Okie, I have the brackets, master, small booster, and mechanism to the brake pedal if you're interested. I installed it drove it a couple of miles and stepped of a cliff into a big block swap. I wanted the tall 460 valve covers so I had to go hydroboost. Let me know if you are interested in it.
