I can understand getting a radiator hose fronm Finland if you live in that area but here in the States you shouldn't have a problem finding a S shaped lower radiator hose. HRP
They're specially made for flathead V8 conversions, due to the close quarters and height difference it's proven hard to get the right hose.
you mean these http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/hot-rod-radiator-hoses.968946/ and I've no experience of them, just helping out with the link. Chris
Bjr.. Not really my man.... It's one thing to take a chance buying something for the sole purpose or re purposing it.... Or buying something that's been designed for a specific application The question wasn't your opinion but more of a..... has anybody done business with this guy.
I saw his threads on here and ford barn with a handful of people who liked them so yes would be your answer
I know it sounded insulting, I did it for effect, but I just meant with all the info and suppliers here in the USA suppling the collector/custom/rod/ old cars, I just don't see the need to go over seas to get a radiator hose. So if you took offense, I apologies.
Naaa, not offended at all. Lower close quarter hoses on these cars have been a pesky problem for builders. One solution was the cast aluminum offset outlet type... Couldn't find those anywhere. I know there's a few modern hoses that work with a few inches trimmed. I spoke to the seller and he sells a lot in the U.S..... Sells to Don Orosco and a few other notable names. The hoses he sells are engineered for this application, I just don't have time to mess with trial and error at this point, there's a thousand other things I need to do on the car for ROG. Thanks for all your input. Peter
For the price I could probably spend some time in the back rooms of a couple of parts houses here locally and maybe throw away the mistakes. I have the time to do that although finding something that is engineered to fit could be well worth the time and headaches saved. I would like to see some honest feedback on the hoses from some of the folks who use them though.
Peter, Try MEC, (330) 644-3450, modelengineeringco.com for the cast aluminum offset outlet. Please let us know what you find. Charlie Stephens
