Is it just a car show or are they drag racing to? It sure would be cool to see a bunch of Tri 5's doing battle on the strip.

Show was awesome, almost 2,000 Tri Fives. They had a swap meet, autocross and drag racing. Never seen that many 55-57 Chevy's in one place before. Definitely going back next year.

Here is a few. I took several minutes of video, but I don't have a clue how to transfer that to post it. I waited till I drove up to register and we were car # 1822 so there were more than that. Unbelievable , tri fives as far as you could see. 560.jpg

Awesome pics, thanks for posting. Curious if there were a lot of the new report body based cars there? That Woody's g***er looks beautiful. Thanks

The cinnamon 55 in the previous post parked next to the Holley trailer belongs to a good friend. It was his first car, never drove it then decades later, bought it back. It was a primered hulk three months ago. If only I had the energy to thrash on one like that. I saw a booth with the new bodies and some parked around Woody's spot that claimed to be the new steel bodies.

I was there ,I take awful pics so I usually don't take any. My wife and I spent two great days there. Weather was nice,They let us take coolers up to the stands. The stands are covered so we were in the shade. A little bit of carnage on the strip, couple of drive lines and rear end problems. Some very quick cars there. Its nice to touch real parts and talk to the vendors, so much better than on the phone.

  15. We drove 14 hours each way to attend one of the years greatest events if you are a Tri Five Chevy head. I can not stop thinking of all the cool cars that attended , over 1850 registered. There were nos parts as well as some great deals on other parts, I landed a great set of sedan doors(thanks Mike) and bid on a set of rare nos 997 heads. The South Bend track with covered nostalgic seating was great with a nice breeze to beat the heat. Lots of awesome g***ers on display and racing as well as over 90 Nomads. Every body style and color combo was represented and the people were extraordinary , friendly and willing to talk . People came from all over the country and are already planning to attend next years event . I'll be back too. Just incredible.
