I have a 1949 chevy 2 ton with a 235 from a 1957. My question is, will a 60s gm new process 5 speed have the same bolt patterns. It came out of a 2 ton gmc so it also has the brake on the back

can you take a picture of the front of the 5 speed? My guess is that it might be a different bolt pattern, that fit an SAE bellhousing. But I could be wrong.

Sorry i think i answered my own question. Looks like the swap is a peice of cake. The transmission was used in chevy, gmc, and ford.
