    Hey guys,
I usually hang out on the ford barn and have a couple of original model a's. I have the bug to get a traditional rod and have the chance to by a Brookville roadster on deuce rails. Flathead motor with offy heads and duel Stromberg 97s. It has a dago fron axel and a 32 grill shell. Good running car. Can anyone ball park a price for me? Here's a pic if it helps.

Nice looking car, for some reason it looks like the windshield and posts are somewhat different. Bob

what do you guy mean by "not right"? I have a 30 roadster and the set up is different for sure. The windshield does look a little "boxie" now that you mention it.

The windshield frame looks taller than the posts, I can't see the tip of the post were the top header would attach. Just one of those things that jumped out as different. Bob

This car has a correct windshield frame, although it's chopped,do you have a photo of the car from a different angle.

I down loaded the photo that was posted and I believe it is correct but the aluminum stanchions and the windshield frame is painted black.HRP

28-9 stanchions were fixed (non-folding) and made of steel. I believe some export 'sport roadsters' had nickel-plated folding stanchions, but those would have been a rarity. I think the w/s looks odd because it's stock height and not laid back...our eyes are much more used to seeing them with a chop & rake.

Better pics would allow us to see the details...

The other thing that I can't recall seeing on an A Roadster is the cowl mounted rear view mirror. These aren't deal killers just pointing out areas that need a closer look. Bob

  19. Back to the OP question, agree with HRP about $16k - $20k

if the paint and upholstery are as nice as they seem from the pic, I think the value is higher, maybe mid 20k, deuce frame is nice on that kind of roadster. The unchopped w/s is easy to fix. what about the rest of the drive train? 39 box? banjo rear? what brakes?

    Just for comparison.
I have a new `29 Brookville on a SoCal `32 ch***is, crate small block dual quad my wife never drives available for $30,000 with 800 miles on it. Done somewhat traditional with a buggy spring, hairpins and `40 brakes.

I`d have to see additional pics on the op`s `29 to guess at a price.
