Hey guys, just got my 1952 buicks inline 8 running great. Such a sweet sound to my ears. I started it up and let it run for about 40 minutes. I noticed a oil leak and it is coming from a hole where a engine mount bolt should be.

It should not be leaking there correct even if the bolt is missing? Could I have a crack behind the engine mount? Attached are a few pics. Let me know what you are thinking.

    Thanks
    Jon

If that's the only issue and everything else is fine, I'd wrap a short bolt with Teflon tape and not worry about it, (***uming the leak stops....)

Slather the bolt with Permatex and be done with it.

Going to take one out on the other side to so I can match it up then do what you guys say. When I tear it down I'll see what's going on with the leak. Just want to see if the dynaflow trans is working correctly before I do a full restro on it.

Each mounting have 4 bolts,2 of them are goes throu the block and 2 are goes not throu the block.
If one of them is left (if i remember right, the upper ones) you have a heavy leak.
