Sorry that the pictures aren't all side views like you requested, but hopefully they'll be of use anyways? 7.00/16 Rear and 6.00/16 Front Firestones on original wide-five wheels. .
7.00-16 rear and 5.50-16 'Stones on truck wide 5s. The fronts are going up to 6.00s and I'll have to raise it a bit for steering clearance.
Hey Scrap, I see you're from Dayton. I've spent a considerable amount of time there, and while not nearly as bad as S.E. MI, Dayton isn't exactly like SoCal in the road quality dept. That's the most important consideration for me because our roads simply suck. A lot of repair has been done here this year but when I venture out further I'm not willing to risk any damage to the underside of my new ride. Where it sits now the 'bones will hit the frame if I encounter the average MI bump or hole. The inner battle is the rake and how much I really like it. I have to go up about 1 1/2-2" to get the stance right and feel confident with the ride quality/security. Even if you have tire clearance for static turning, how about when it rolls through a lumpy turn or into a tilted driveway? Nothing worse than that tread scrape on our pretty fenders. I'll have all my details and dimensions in the build thread.
Hey HIGHLANDER, I'm going against everything I feel is sacred in hotrodding and am going to put(come on and slam me) a M II front suspension under mine.. All bolt on stuff and should be an easy install and along with a dual leaf rear I'll be everything I use to hate about fat-fendered rods.. I'm hoping if I get it low enough, no one will notice... I really like the stance on your sedan....
You can get there from here (in a manner of speaking) without doing that. Too much is just too much. Even the guy I got it from said it wasn't intended to stay this way. Now that I've been looking at it and fooling around with it for a month or more, there's more than the suspension to consider. I'd be heartbroken if one of those lovely running boards succumbed to a speed bump. But please understand, and this isn't a cop out, it's never my intention to tell someone what to do with their car. You need to make that guy over the top of your bathroom sink happy.
