coupes and coaches, where a lot of '40s went when I was a youngster, sacrificed to NASCAR and other racing associations. Hell in the 1950s, they were just old cars from the back row of used car lots. I remember being in my early teens, mid-50s, buying a coupe that was a roller for $15. I flipped the car and doubled my money to a guy who wanted to race at local fairgrounds dirt track.

I figured since we were posting 39's too, that we had a little leeway.

 

I did too, the Matford Convert (French ford) I posted is probably a '39, due to the 3 month production interruption when they moved the plant to Poissy in Sept. '39 to try to get out of the way of the Germans. There were hardly any '40 Matfords made.

 

'39/'40 Fords,who cares, still beautiful Henry bodies, right?

 

'39 and '40s, and '41 PU's are all so close, I don't think its a big deal. besides, '39's are better looking anyway, those two big chrome toilet seats hanging off the front fenders on '40s don't help the looks one bit...
