Narrowing a Model A frame ...

    ... I know this sounds insane but I have my reasons ...

    I haven't. However, I have put all my Model A running gear (brake mechanicals included) into a Model TT frame, which is MUCH narrower (and parallel) . See the link in my signature for build pics.

    I could be wrong but I think the early Indy cars used narrowed car frames. I am pretty sure I saw one that used a 32 Stude frame narrowed a lot.
     
  4. I narrowed an A front crossmember, pretty straight forward as one would expect.

    Are you putting a Briggs and Stratton lawn mower engine in it? :rolleyes:

    This is true, lots of early Chevy frames were modified too. There are some good pictures in the 1844-1944 racing thread.
