This is my daily driver,,,,a 65 F100. I have been wanting to do a front end restyle for a long time now, and since i went on vacation for a week, it was the perfect opportunity to get some work done on the truck...i gave it to scotty baccus, and his shop tejas steelworks out of pflugerville texas for fabrication and installation of the headlight bucket brackets and the buckets themselves. (65 chrysler 300).....here are a few shots of what he got done....now that i have it back, the next steps are rolled pan, split bumpers, and grille....first photo shows a before and during comparison, second photo shows my eventual goal, and the rest show how it currently looks (i hadn't install the gl*** covers yet in these photos...i need to go out today and find the proper size screws to secure them).....more to come... :)

Nice transformation. Makes the whole grille shell appear custom made for the application.
    Great vision.

Nice post too, with the comparison shots!

I wonder why more late 50's/early 60's trucks aren't customized. This looks great, they seem to fit the fenders/grille cavity well. I think your design with the tube grill will be fantastic.

I have to say, and don't take this the wrong way, but it kind of reminds me of a '64 Studebaker. :)

Looking good. I'm building a '66 as well and I don't like any of the factory grill offerings. I'm definitely think the dual headlight setup looks the best. I'm trying to find something that'll work. I've been looking for a '60-'61 Chevy or GMC grill. They look pretty easy to make them universal looking. Can't find one for a reasonable price though.

Nice change, almost looks like it was made for the new location. But I do have to laugh it does look like a Studebaker now.
