Event Coverage Royboy Goes To the 2015 Showdown In The Valley

Still trying to get caught back up on posting a few months of back logs of my blog posts over here...


I haven’t been able to attend the Showdown In The Valley lately, so this year when I was told that the date and venue for the show put on by the Mulvane Marauders, I was in. The new venue is the arena at the Kansas Star Casino west of Mulvane next to I-35. The plan this year was to have 80-90 cars in the arena and the rest outside, as the temps were nearing or right at 100 degrees this was a great idea for those of us that were vendors.
With the show opening at 10am I rolled in a little early and got a chance to look around the venue. We’ll start the coverage with the indoor coverage.














The indoor/outdoor setup of the Showdown In The Valley was a godsend when the temps reached 100. I can see this arena as a great place to put on a small indoor show in the winter.

The Showdown In The Valley had a large parking lot section as well as the indoor arena. It was hot. I may be a wimp but it was hot and not fun out there when I went out. Probably just me being a wimp that was used to the AC inside. Here are some shots from the outdoor area and a few select pinup shots from the 4 pinup shoots that I did on Saturday.
