    "SHO-Down"
1969 F250 Crew Cab Custom Truck
Every now and then I'm inspired by one of my friends sketches. So much so that I want to see it as a more realistic rendering. Dave Walters, one of my fellow car artists, sketched this concept. I thought it was such a cool idea that I asked him if I could do a rendering of it. Dave kindly agreed and that's what you see here. You'll notice Dave's small sketch at the left. I really like how he extended the rocker panels and turned them into a pseudo-body kit. Chopped and sectioned and shortened lengthwise, through the cab, nets some really big doors and a low-down stance. Power would be from a Taurus SHO mounted mid-ship.
    Thanks Dave. ShoDown.png

  2. 150823\'56-210Berri.jpg Cool Gary. Saw one of those trucks under construction last weekend- it caught my eye.
It was at the indoor show where I drew this- 'great grand-dad's bought new '56 Chevy. I was in a hurry to finish as the show wound down around me. I like the result. The grille bars were scary to render fast.

    Very nice Gary.

Killer sketch Steve. Been working on a pair of ’55 Chevys myself. Inking it up now...

This week I wrapped on some art for a client that I can’t fully reveal until it is published but I think I’m safe in sharing a couple cropped details this week.

    A little tail...

Mark, nice details on the close ups.

Acquired a new digital SLR camera. Tried it out at a Corvette gathering last weekend.

  13. Some stuff out of the past: A flame job I did on a friend's 27 T roadster in the winter of 1974. There was no heat in the garage so we moved the car into his living room. Sprayed in yellow, orange,& red alkyld enamel.I think the overspray still shows up when his wife is cleaning.
The sculpture was created from a wooden decoy using stainless steel spatulas,hand-made wooden striping brushes,a piece of foreign currency and an aluminum push pin(the spike on top of his head). Don't have anything new this week, so I decided to try cropping an old piece tighter, I think it's an improvement.
