Wes, here is a drawing of the frame I found on the internet off of a G-body forum. The drawing indicates the structural bracing that is recommended to harden the G-body frame. I added the grey lines in the center to indicate the approx spots I am building perches to attach the body to this frame. Once situated I will X brace it with a drive line loop.

I didn't want to blow the bank account up with air bags, so I opted to go with some drop spindles to bring the car down. I went with RideTech's 2" drop spindles from Summit Racing for the 5th gen frame, part# 11399300.

Started on some sheet metal work; removed the poor fill/weld job on the gas filler hole found after dipping the car. Going to relocate it to the trunk area, somewhere...

Gutted the entire trunk floor all the way to the back seats, was hacked in poorly and not properly tied in; just kind of floating in space without reinforcements. I will custom make the floor to fit the frame I am using.

Thanks for sharing you project with us. I actually stsrted with shortening the frame one inch and moved engine five inches to the rear. The rear horns I cut off and cut a vee into the lower section to keep the horns lower so the rear of trunk will sit on frame. Not rea sure hiw to make mounts so I bought square stock an welded plates onto he top then drilled hole to match body mount points. Where the stock was welded to frame it axctually stiffened the flimsy rails. I will try to send pics asap.

Project updates: Found second left tail light patch panel to finish off the terrible tail light crater holes that were there before. Starting to look normal again!

Ditched the floor, there was too much rot to repair. Here is the body just sitting on the frame before the rail ends are cut off.
