Malcolm, I got the posts from here http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/28-29-ford-chopped-folding-windshield-posts.923370/ Its chopped quite a bit. I made a template and sent it to him and he sent the posts chopped. The top stanchions are 7". I then chopped the windshield to match. When it gets back from the chrome shop I'll get some measurements for you.
Malcolm, Not a problem. I'm very happy with the stanchions if you decide to go that route. But.. I really love the look of your car with the Hallock. That is the route I'll end up at one day if I can figure out how to run both windshields. (Which should not be to hard)
Some updated shots of the new window. Its better than the previous version. But not completely what I was hoping for. It may grow on me. But at least with this setup I can run a top.
DAM! I like it just the way you got it now....and you will like having the top to run on that cross country trip you want to take in it someday.
I'm late to the party; I also have lusted over Nimrods A Roadster when I first saw it as well. Your car sure is a honey. It's beautiful!
I just read all 8 pages and me being a geezer (67) iam always glad to see a young guy get it lets me know our hobby will be in good hands long after we are gone. P.S> I am extremely glad to see the s.b.c cheers Tom
Thanks studebaker46! Went to the Goodguys show this weekend. Not going to lie, it was a little warm in that thing. Need to start working on the top plan.
Love it I think it looks more sinister with black walls and black wheels. But I also like the cream color wheels and white walls . Only problem it's not in my garage. Frank
