Hot Rods 49 years ago today, 8/30/1966

A '38 Ford pickup followed me home. $15 for the truck plus $8 for the wrecker to bring it home. Had it ever since. Lettered as a shop truck for Drake Motor Co., local Ford dealer from 1928-1956, phone 13, the actual phone number back in the day.

wow one month and 7 days before I saw the world . truck is probably in better condition still than I am ..

Congrats. My dad still has his 36 Chevy and Model A pickups, got em both in the mid 50's.

Almost half a century, about 2 1/2 months less than I`ve been around. Long time to own a ride, way to go.

 

I turned one year old on that day! And on Sunday I turned 39 again
