    Just a quick question.

    What do you guys figure the ballpark cost of rebuilding a 55 DeSoto hemi would be? 3k?

    Then add in all your machine costs and all the nice stuff like your oil, fuel & water pumps, carb etc etc...... adds up quick. But there are probably some cheaper places to get the parts too.

    So 3k is probably a halfway decent estimate then? ;)

    That about what it cost to rebuild the straight 8 in my 47 Roadmaster back in high school, which of course was several years ago. So figuring that prices have gone up since then, but also figuring that DeSoto hemi is probably a couple dollars cheaper to rebuild, 3k sounded about right...
