Good job, Bill. Headers will work. I don't think the alternator will though. ;)

OH YA !! I like it. Always liked the 58 custom 300s. And an FE with what looks like Tri power. Very cool. Is it a 4 spd with really low gears. What size FE. Lets hear more cool car. Is that a 57 with a 58 nose? FEDER

Its a 66 390 GT Engine and toploader. I took off my Cobra Jet intake and opted for a 63 Tri power. 457 gears, soon to have ladder bars.

Radshit put the front end under the car, and I made it steer

cool car, looks a little like my '58 that I sold last year, but looks like yours will move out a little better, mine was just a cruiser. thats a coo bodystyle that you son't see very often. oh yeah, i ran a '57 hood, bolts on.

  11. Nothing special my ass!! I dig '58 Fords and the fact that it's got a straight axle and sits high is all the more better.

Reminds me of one that used to cruise "Skip's Fiesta" on North Ave. back in the day.

    Great project, keep us posted.

  12. Cool 58 you have there...I have always had a soft spot for these(got one left out back from a collection of sorts over the years)
Had one show up from the Valley last year at the Lone Star Roundup that was a real time warp...
    Keep it up!!!!

Very nice! Killer stance, the right rims, & I really like that moon tank sticking through the grille! That bastardo oughta' scream with that nasty FE under the hood! Good Luck! Keep us posted with more posts!

  22. Perfect! The only thing I'd change would be to take out the grille for the "Dan Collins" look....it's too much weight over the front wheels anyway.
Love it. May we assume it's got solid lifters on a radical, lumpy cam?

Rocky, I actualy thought about taking the grill out, butit only weighs like 2 lbs. No its only a hyd cam, but its a great hyd cam quite lumpy.

Jake speed, Oh its a rusty bastard too...lol but that means lightend for racing....

I like it, that's a neat lookin' car. I have gasser style '58 Tudor myself, tri-power 390 with an auto, sits up high with flipped rear shackles and front spring spacers, no front bumper, cheater slicks on plain steelies, etc. It's a fun car.

I also have an altered wheel base '57 Tudor project, rear axle moved forward "15, drilled and chromed Mode A axle on parallel leafs up front, gutted interior and a one piece fiberglass front end. The car is suposed to have run a hot 289 and a 4 speed back in the '60s. I have a 302 and a 4 speed slated for the car now. It should be a reeally fun machine when I get it on the road.
