Took a half an hour to go through a third of the clips. OH MY G..... Makes me want to build a replica of Milners other car.
Gary Selzi was asked how he would like to drive "The Wing" , his reply was " he'd rather sit in an electric chair " !!
fuckin the sound, if you have it loud enough, is so awesome at the end when he shuts off, it echos through the park. Boss.
Keith Burgan AKA "Roo Man" is in the process of building a new chassis and the old car is being returned to "Wild Willie" days as a cackle /museum piece . It should debut at the GG Pomona event in May .
That is some good news about the rebuild. If you haven't met mousie and mike , you are missing a treat . Both quality people, and willie 2. their show is awesome.
We were trying to get Mike Boyd or Mousie to do the same shot on the bearskin, but they thought the women folks might get faint over it. Mousie will be at the March meet in his cart cruising around .
Heres from the Winged Express board from January: According to Mike, "the chassis is going into the jig to be welded anytime now in Indy at Roo Mans shop. All the tubing has been cut and is ready for welding. The body has been repaired and primed by Newt and should be painted in the next week or so. From there it goes to Bakersfeild to be lettered. The fuel tank is being replaced along with the headers. I am cutting all the pieces for the wing so I can get it welded here in the next couple of weeks. We will also be getting the seat belts and one parachute replaced. I also will be getting the axles inspected to make sure they are safe to put back into the car. Keith at Roo Mans will also be checking the rear end housing for straightness and repair it, if needed. We will also be replacing the back rims and not sure what brand yet. The only thing we do not have under control yet is the Mickey Thompson scoop, so far no luck in finding one. Will update everyone with more later."
