Hey, everyone. I'm located in a small town in the San Joaquin Valley, pretty much smack-dab in the middle of California. I'm pushing 40 and have been a wanna-be rodder since high-school. My hotrod experience is mostly limited to shows, swaps, mags, etc. As a contractor, I recently had the opportunity to trade a few hours for a rusty '31 Pontiac Coupe body and frame. I am excited about it being a fairly unique car and see it being built first as a rat rod with an early 60's 389 or 421, then maybe into a nice hotrod. I would like to keep the car on the original frame as a chopped high boy. I'm afraid I might be too tall to fit into it if I channel it, too. The bottom line though, is that I am a fairly competant craftsman, I am most likely over my head. So, I'll have about a billion questions for you guys. Talk to ya soon!
I havent been here long but, welcome! Im from clovis, where exactly are you from? good luck with the project, if you need anything let me know! Im ALWAYS game to help someone out.
