I need a little help in identifying what this body is. I bought it at a swap meet cheap, without an ownership. Guy said it was a 1923 Dodge but the windshield posts look more like a Durant. If more pictures are needed I can post more. Body dimensions are 28" wide at the front, 37" at the back and 52" long. Any help is greatly appreciated!

  2. Sorry for multiple pictures. Tablet is acting up

It ain't a Doge Brothers of any year. But it is half of a touring car.

  4. Thats good to know! Now we are heading in the right direction! Thanks!

  5. Ok so armed with the touring body revelation, I believe that it is the front half of a 1923 Durant Star touring sedan.

Mid 20's Overland. Body tag would be on the seat riser if still there...

If I'm not mistaken the Durant had wood not steel structure. Very few cars had all steel bodies in the 20's. Looking in my spotters guide it looks like a 1925 Overland 4 built by Willys-Overland, the first year for their all steel body yours looks like a Model "91"

  9. Looking at some google pictures, overland seems right. Windshield post on a durant bolt on the outside of the body, overland goes inside like mine! Both look similar. Thanks for all your help guys! Greatly appreciated!

That is your start to a new modified build!
    So get de-rusting.

  12. So what are your plans?
Built it into a *****in hot rod.
    Yard art.
    Flip.

These are very important details for us hot rod types. :D

  13. Hot Rod of course! Figuring out the budget and what details fit in to it. So far I have a Model A grill shell, 9 inch rear axle and a Cadillac engine and auto transmission hanging around the shop that need a home. Next step is the ch***is, deciding what style of front and rear suspension to go with. Time to do some research!

  14. Cool find, good luck.

A change is as good as something different I say.
    Should be an interesting project!
