so i really wanted to do my sedan body in a forest green suede, then do the frame, front end, bones, etc in a pearl white. problem is, what to do with the wheels. if i do em the same white as the frame, i think it's gonna look funny against the wide white walls of the tires. not sure if i like the idea of the wheels being the same color as the body.

anybody have pics of this? i guess i could just reverse the tires....but i really don't wanna do that. looks kinda silly. or maybe a fade job on em? just running bare steelies with bullet lugs and bullet centers.

Chrome wheels sound better, anything but white. Wheels are about the only thing on a car I don't like white.

    Hey brother...

White wheels with white walls does sound a little strange, but I like the paint idea. That's gonna look nice. Don't see white rails and such too often.

I'd think you've gotta seperate the two whites is all. How about getting some swap meet special dress up rings, sanding them out and painting them the body color? Or pinstriping the wheels around the rim? Anything to put a line between the white wall and the white wheel... oughta look good.

Looking forward to seeing the sedan. It's been a while

Green flake for the wheels maybe? Same shade as the body or maybe as chieftain said a few shades lighter, maybe like and emerald color?

I'd paint the frame the same as the body. White front end with white wheels and white walls looks bad ass! Why not post a pic and have it photo shopped?

ok, unfortunately, these are the only half decent shots i have to work with.

the car is currently apart, as i'm reworking some things..new firewall, new headers, windshield, etc.

can anybody out there work with these? i'm wanting a forest green body, white firewall, frame, front end, etc. maybe keep the frame the same green? then how bout the wheels?

oh, and pay no attention to the purple flame looking things on the drivers side. that's what i found after sanding through some of the primer!!

I was never really sure I liked this wheel/tire combo on my A until I changed 'em...now I miss 'em. Looks like a big converse sneaker.

To much white...go with a contrasting color or the body color.

  11. You could put flipper caps and redlines on this Jeff, and it would still look killer.

Alright, so are there are some exceptions on this post but for the most part I think they would look better if they were the color of the car as opposed to the frame since you've already got the whitewalls.

Here's a pic of Jalopy43's Sedan, the Bones , axle, firewall are all white. Doesn't answer your wheel question - just for ideas.

  20. Whatever you do don't paint the wheels white with whitewalls. It makes the wheel/tire combo look like the inside of an Oreo cookie.

Do whatever you want. This is your car, in the end, and you're the one that is going to have to look at it every day and think, "why didn't I just do what I wanted, instead of listening to what everyone else wanted ?!".

I just don't get why everyone has to "ask permission" or ask what everyone else thinks before they do something to their car.

I think white wheels can look really nice together with ww's, use a set of good lookin trim rings to break it off a bit.

did i ask permission? dont think so. asked for opinions, ideas, and pictures so i could better visualize it.

hey aaron, can i have your permission to call you a dick? i'll wait for your permission first.
