here's the latest on my daily driver/shop truck..........the 65 chrysler headlights are IN.....next up is a split bumper made from two 60 corvair bumpers, and a rolled pan.....the next two pics are photoshopped and show my plans for future mods: 58 edsel side trim I AM LOOKING FOR A SET FROM A 2 DOOR 58 EDSEL, IF ANYONE HAS A LEAD ON A SET.....and i plan to swap this 58 edsel speedo/gauge cluster into the truck as well...it's amazing how close the fit is,,,i will also be using a 58 edsel steering wheel (the push ****ons won't be functioning,,,just for looks).......NEED ONE OF THESE STEERING WHEELS AS WELL......

I prefer the middle one. Pipes, no skirts.

I dig it. Goes to show what can be done on a mid 60's truck that wasn't exactly a style setter to begin with.
Not everyone likes skirts on a truck but I like it with the skirts. Check out my avatar.

  11. I like no pipes, no skirts. Not sure if I'm feeling the grille, but then again I worked a 14-hr day in the heat on 4 hours of sleep.

    Coves, coves, coves!

here's a quick photoshopped idea..i had been planning on using split 60 corvair bumpers on the front with a rolled pan, and then i started eyeing up this setup from my parts stash..55 pontiac stuff.....did a quickie rendering (please ignore the color difference)....i think this works,,i like the way it mimics/compliments the headlights... 007.jpg

That looks good. Any luck finding the side trim? Any plans for the rear?

  20. I too like the trim restricted to the bed sides - great ideas all!

A big thumbs up on the Poncho bumper pic. Very nice .

  22. I like all of your ideas, Kustom. Hard to choose just one look. Dig the '60 Edsel grille, but that's a rare piece. You must have one in your magical parts stash, huh? E

I really like the Edsel trim on the box only and the Pontiac bumpers, make a great look.

What is going between the headlights?
