i'm getting some 295 50 15 tires for the 15x10 wheels i'm getting and i was wondering if you guys could help me choose which ones to get. it's between 3 sets. there's a set of cooper GT sr5000's, some summit gt trac owl's and some remington XT-120's. they are all priced within $5 of $200 so the price doesn't help decide. the summits and remintons come with a warranty (these are all on ebay) but i know the cooper name better. any input would be appreciated. thanks a lot guys!

go with the ones that have the best looking tread patern for the look of the car. or find out more about the compound the tires are made of , witch will bite the best , wear the best, and so on.

the look is the coopers hands down but the remingtons have a decent looking tread too...i'd kinda like to have a warranty though since i'm gonna be tough on them:cool:

I've run Coopers on everything for years because I like the local dealer. Different cars, different sizes, different models, I've never been disappointed.

Why not consider the BFG radial t/a? You can find them within a couple bucks of $100 dollars a piece all day long. Tire Rack has em for $104, Discount tire is like 109, but they'll price match like crazy. Pick the number you want to pay and they'll do it if it's within reason. Shoot, their even shipping for free these days.

Why buy a Summit or Remington (off brand) tire for the same as you'd pay for a name brand tire? (BFG, Goodyear, etc.. all right at $100) I can see the interest in the cooper, i've had 'em, liked 'em, their not too bad a tire. Wouldn't fault a person for buying a pair, but a cooper for the price of a BFG? ... pass thank you...

Name your price on th BFG's at discount tire... unless it's just between the summit, remington or cooper... then, get the coopers.

Just suggestions, if it were me kinda thoughts....

I've had LOTS of BF Goodrich TA Radials & never had a bad tire! They track real well & imo are a good looking tire as well. All in all they're at a fairly reasonable price too. Just won't buy cheap tires; Gotta' have good tires under me. The life I save may be MINE.

got a truly vintage car. ..even has the original air in the tires!

If your worried about warranty why not buy them somewhere local.
You have to get them mounted anyway?
