    Hmm, I always thought a bad condenser showed up as a lazy yellow spark. Not so with yours?

    I've kinda got the same thing going on. Ford 390 in our '47 wouldn't start yesterday. Set points and got it to start but ran really rough. Checked points, timing, condenser replaced last Sunday. Had just driven 80 miles no issues. Replaced points fired up and ran perfect. Drove about 15 miles no issues. Go to start it this morning and it barely runs when it fires up like before I replaced points. All it did was sit overnight.?????

    Humidity/condensation under your distributor cap, perhaps?

    Got it figured out. Put old condensor back in just to try and it runs like it should again.

    I put Pertronix ignition in all my distributors. Had too many new condensers fail and the Pertonix doesn't need them.
