Hi everyone. My show trailer was stolen from Orange, CA Saturday night the 19th. It contained several sets of American Classic, General and Royalton tires. Sizes from 165R15- 205-235/75R15s and 6.70X15, 600X16 and 560X15, G78X15s. All FULL Sets. Also inside was a 1965 date coded 396 BBC bare block and 2 M20late 60s coded transmissions. A Chevelle Tilt Column, a B&M Shifter, and a set of Boyd wheels on tires 5on 5. And our display tires. 1 16" 1940 chevy wheel, hot pink on a 600X16 tire, a red and chrome wire wheel with an American Classic 205/75R15, a black smoothie with ford hubcap with a G78X15 tire., and an artillery in black with custom pinstripe and a 560X15 tire. This trailer was our livelihood and we are devastated by its loss. I have included a picture of the trailer and some of the items inside. Please keep your eyes open for us at local swapmeets, craigslist etc. Our shop number is (714) 769-4800 Thank you, Rebecca, Classic Whitewall Tires.
I hate a thief. Sorry for your loss and it is especially hard on the small business guy insurance or not. I'm nowhere in your area but you never know when or where something might show up Hoping for the best outcome Larry
Oh, Rebecca, sorry to hear. Folks, these are good people who do not deserve such a blow... An old Irish prayer, "May the Lord turn the hearts of our enemies. And if He can't do that, may He turn their ankles, so we will know them by their limpin'..."
UPDATE --> Trailer was found in Corona, CA, but contents are missing. I just read this on FB --> https://www.facebook.com/greatlabordaycruise
Sorry to hear that----at least you can file a claim to test the "metal" of your insurance supplier. Please let us know.
Partial recovery is better than total loss, I guess, hope they hang those scumbags out to dry! It seems like way too much of this going on, it sucks for the honest folks trying to earn a living to endure this crap.
Long Beach Swap meet is coming up on Oct 11. Pomona Swap meet is coming up on Oct 18. Good chance some of these items will show there.
Thank you everyone for your look out and words. Its been a long week and we had to go out of town for a show. It never does stop or slow down when you own your own business. YES the trailer was recovered, at 5pm Wednesday in Corona (We had to leave at 4am on Thursday to get to our weekend obligations - Oh Vey!) All contents are lost save for the 396 Bare block that was still in it, oh and our car show flyers...so if anyone sees of a "firesale" on American Classic, Generals and Royaltons and a set of 20" Boyd Coddington wheels on tires for 5 on 5 patterned trucks, please let us know or let law enforcement know. We were able to capture a partial vehicle ID from nearby security cameras so the police are still investigating.
Thank you Father, This made me laugh. I have been in business with my family for 20 years and this is the worst and only claim I have ever had to do...the good lord willing, it will be my last!
I would suggest an upgrade in security. I use this coupler vault And this wheel lock. https://www.megahitchlock.com/ Brahma wheel lock. http://www.brahmalock.com/ These are a couple of the best trailer security devices available and will make it difficult enough that thieves will move on to an easier target.
Thank you for the suggestion. Newer better security measures are in place on our trailer to prevent it happening again. Thank the good lord above my father instilled in me that there is never enough insurance on things! My insurance company has covered our losses and we will be out at Pomona this weekend! Thank you all for your kind words and suggestions and support!
