I intend to try that flake out, it'll be on a test panel though! I do like alot of the colors they have. Theres been alot of talk about it on the Lay It Low forums, but I don't know if anyone there has actually sprayed any yet. For the price it can't hurt anything to test it out.

Guess you decided to do those bike parts yourself eh?

Naw, this is a totally different project. My neighbor is trying his hand @ custom paint jobs, he's done a few projects that have turned out nice. He going to paint this stuff for me and he's not going to charge me labor, all I have to do is buy the materials.

If all you gotta buy is the materials, splurge and buy a known-to-be-good product... you're already getting off cheap. My $.02

    Here's the skinny,...
If you have seen the Roth tribute trike it was painted with this flake,... in a recent mag they painted the roof of a car with this flake, "Uncle" Bob Spina (Big Daddy's pal and painter) endorses it ,... and Sonny DePalma gives it a thumbs up,....... still worried ?

Dennis , Bob and Sonny will be at Autorama,.... I will get back to youz guyz to let you know where they will be hanging out

    Hey ,
How about posting a testimonial on this thread on how it worked out for you?

I scored some of the "lime squeeler" and its sick! Really looks to be some quality flake. You gotta love the names of some of these. One of the best is "dog pecker pink" haha... TMI dude!!

I just did a motorcycle gas tank using the "Mind Splitter" flake. It worked great and looks bad ass. I've used flake from all the major brands including some old 60's flake and this stuff is right up at the top. They also have colors that no one else has. On this tank I wanted something really wild and out there and it fit the bill perfectly! I'll post some pics tomorrow. I think what your seeing as far as price is the quanity of flake compared to HOK not the quality.I would def. recomend the product!!!!!

    pictures

    Before candies.

After candies and graphics. This flake is so vivid that you can still see the reds , blues and other colors that are in the flake shining through the green candy.

I used the Roth Flake on the roof of my 34' pickup with great results. I mixed a solid color flake with a similiar color trippin flake for a better affect.
