I bought a Mallory Magspark (model YCM type 62c) distributor at a swap meet a few weeks ago. The guy that sold me the part told me it was off of his flathead. When I got home it was clear to me that this won't fit my flatty. I've been spending to long searching and I've given up. Anyone more knowledgable on this stuff have an idea of what it goes to?

Off his flathead WHAT? There are a few flathead straight eights out there.

Well it's definitely not a Ford flathead dizzy. Go to the fordbarn.com site and post it. Bubba from Bubba's Ignition is the guru for this.

Is there a database somewhere to check numbers/ types? I wanna know for sure if it would fit a Cord or Hudson.

mallory-1.jpg Couldn't get this to upload when I posted before.
May be a different overall number than what you have but the "62" is usually the indicator for what engine.
