I jumped the gun and started the anchor for mine already since there seemed to be interest in it. I'm sure I'll get blown out of the water but that's not the point. Wasn't there a whole section of tech threads? That's what we need, a new/old tech section! I appreciate some of the veterans pledging up cash, but they really should be spending that money on booze, broads and hot rods!
My original lurk moment here was a dude wiring up a Model T. I believe a past tech entry. I've always liked the tech posts. You know how it is, no $$ always = no fear. This joint has been a bright light for me, on many scratch the head moments. Thermo-nuke' on some days. Greatest tool in the box ! I can't step with the big boys. Maybe I'll embarr*** myself with a lunch money post on the thread ... but I'll chip in 25 bucks. Doritos and beer tab maybe ? That's a lap dance in Texas.
I'll jump in with a couple of tech articles. But I will also throw in a Bonneville Calendar for the wall of the winner,,, if that is ok?

the coupe crested the hill, the ignition was cut and lights turned off. the breaks in the clouds allowed the moon light to provide enough light for the hot rod to coast off the road, onto a dirt patch, worn down by years of fishermen parking to gain access to the river just through the woods. a black merc parked at the edge of the woods was almost invisible and would have been invisible to any one driving by at speed. a flicker of light from the interior as the driver lights a cig and tosses the match out as the two cars come side to side. "should we do this?" asked through the p***enger window "i wouldn't be out here waiting for you if i didn't think so" "i was just thinking.....with the...... boss not around" "what's wrong with you? you think i didn't think this through? we can do this" "your right, your right, but he needs this **** like he needs another hole in his head" [sorry] "vic, larry, kid,angel,dodge, wing are with me. you in?" "i'm in ....make mine $100....but let's get on with it" the window in the merc is cranked up to an inch short of closed, allowing room to flick an ash, and the motor spins over a few times and then starts. the tires kick up dust till they make contact with the macadam with a screech. the car roars off down the road a bit before the lights are turned on and it disappears over the next hill. "we can do this" mumbled fuel pump ticks, starter spins, engine fires, dust, screech, down the road a bit back the way the coupe came before the lights come on. 3rd gear. mumbling; "we can do this?"
Cool stuff isn't always cash though, right? But just Imagine if there was just $1.00 for every member.
I'm totally cool with it fellas... Only problem is that I'm still recovering from surgery and have no wits about me at all... So, this might be a cluster ****!
It could be a Tequila Tech Week post, to peripherally include you and your tooth pains. Between the dentist and K. Tardel ... hell .... you guys might even win ! Sadly, my cheap 25 bucks won't get good tequila. Clase Azul Reposado is 80 bones. Cuervo is good for bug guts.
Then archive all of the tech threads in one place for easy reference, what a gold mine that would be.
Not to be a ****, but when I dig back into older threads, lots of photo's are gone. I'd love to have all the tech threads back and in one place, but that's going to take a bunch of work. Work takes money, so I joined the alliance. BTW, I'm working on a "do it yourself" wisdom tooth removal tool. I'm surely going to win, so no one else should even bother entering.
I think I might post some of my old ideas on here. They are not worth any prize, but some might find the info useful.
