Started detailing the Model A today. My brother is coming down to ride with me.

We have about 16 cars in our hot rod caravan I'm trying to put together....but these guys are like hearding cats!!:D
    so we'll see.

Flattandscruggs1, the Iron Invasion is an outstanding show! Very traditional with a great atmosphere. Hope your trigger finger is ready; because you're going to have LOTS of awesome photo ops with your camera.

Knock on wood, the forecast is 60 and SUNNY. For this time of year and this part of the country...that's a gift from above!!

You'd better wear more than that though, looks like it's gonna be a bit chilly. However I see a winner for the pin-up competition.

  11. The Lucky Stiffs are locked and loaded, and ready for the show. Gates open at 8 for spectators...what time are you letting show cars in the gate?

Gates to the Fairgrounds open at 6am. This will allow a chance for show cars to stage and get lined up for entry at 8:00. Spectators can park at this time as well...but are only allowed to come into the staging area.

Open to Public at 8:00 am

  16. some of us work monday through friday. i work in a cardiac unit working on the very people this show is trying to help. we never close. if we could tell our patients not to be sick on thurs and friday this would work out great. it doesn't take much setup time to empty a pickup. in years past i pulled in on sat and unloaded. how do i get ahold of sam. any contact info.

No idea. The web site just has email (http://www.ironinvasion.com/contact-us). Probably kinda late for that.

Friday setup is 9am to 9pm. You gotta get off work somewhere in there.

Sam Boelens is Rusty1 here on the HAMB. He is the guy that posted some of the pictures on the first page of this thread. Send him an email.

  19. thanks i will. I'm on emergency call the next two days with no chance to get off.

  20. from the Iron Invasion website, swap meet info
If you have questions call Sam Boelens can be reached at 815 973 9304.

  21. OK, Sam here, my no. is posted on the webpage...look under "swapmeet" heading.

...you can get your swap space on Thursday (today) altho none of the Tin Butchers crew will be there today,
if anybody shows up today, I'll be around to collect your fee on Friday unless John or his crew gets you paid up today.

...you can get your swap space on Friday from 9AM on, ...remember, it gets dark early so try to get there before, besides, I wanna go to the pre=party at the Harley dealer,..and so do you.

you can get in on Sat AM if you get there between 6 and 7:30 AM, this will get you in before the rush of spectators and cars coming in a 8 AM.

swap spaces are $30 each and that allows one person into the show, any riders will have to pay $10 for a wristband.
The swapmeet area is moving slightly to the south just inside the main entry gate; we should have more room and a better layout as it's not in a triangle shape this year.
Please only take the room you need so we can get more swappers in to make the show better. If you have a truck & trailer you will need 2 spaces.
...everyone have a safe trip, see ya.
