..........................................................on it's new door panels!! Over the past month the honorable Mayor of Buzzardville has been very busy making new side floor and door panels for his ole 32 coupe! He carefully insulated the doors and lower kick panel areas with quality 1/4 inch waterproof insulation. He then made precision patterns for the side panels and doors. Then he picked up some high quality 1/8 plywood and cut out all the panels. He then had his old Amish friend Rudy cover them with left over olive green military canvas he had used on his bomber seats. After all the panels were successfully covered he dropped them off to the famous local artist Mahlon in Sugarcreek to help design and hand paint the new High Noon Speed Shop logo on the door panels. Then once back in the shop he carefully attached the panels with small br*** screws and br*** dished washers. We thought it would only be appropriate to introduce them here first to our brother and sister hot rodders! Awesome logo. Never seen one on the inner door panel like that either, but it works well on that car. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
3W Larry, Like the Rolling Bones we only beg, borrow or steal the best ideas and designs here at High Noon Speed Shop! .....uh...uh.....those old door locks wasn't your idea... was it? The Honorable Mayor of Buzzardville 32 Spitfire High noon Speed Shop
Looks like Spitfire's got his 'lock' and 'unlock' reversed... Around High Noon, I'd be singin' "Do not forsake me, O my darlin'..." if I got those locks mixed up... Nothing more clumsy than bailing out of a Suicide-doored 3 window. (talk about the door hittin' you in the ***)
3W Larry, I was just pullin your chain! I have the R&C issue in our vast High Noon Speed Shop library that your awesome coupe is featured in and you explained the custom door locks very well. Thank you!! A****er Mike, Your kinda right.... but that's the way I had to put them at least for now as you can see the unlocked position has the notches machined in so the handle actually securely locks in place. I thought of maybe having some notches machined in the actual locked side and reverse it so it looks correct but hey that may be too confusing for High Noon Speed Shop! kiwijeff, I really worked hard to make this a real traditional coupe and follow the "less is best" approach. I can't tell you how much stainless steel and chrome was bead blasted and painted satin or flat including a beautiful new 32 grill to make the coupe look old school. I might consider that at the bottom of the cowl, doors or leave alone? Any thoughts from you all? 24 Dodge, Thanks!! We will be getting long and short sleeve tee shirts custom made with the new High Noon Speed Shop logo soon!!! The Honorable Mayor of Buzzardville 32 Spitfire High Noon Speed Shop
I like the bottom of the cowl for something different, but if you use it as your shop truck, or for promotion of your business, I'd put it on the doors. Imo.
Thanks kiwijeff! News Flash...... I was just informed by my good friend Doug Frautschy who built the engine on the coupe that the ole "Buzzard" is smoking a Cuban cigar! I asked him how do you know that and he said he just knows Cuban cigars!! Doug travels several times a year to Cuba so I'm going to believe him!!
