Hello Everyone, I would like to remind you all that I still have a few open spots for my upcoming metal shaping classes of 2015. I will also be holding classes in 2016. The dates for the upcoming classes are Nov. 6/7/8, Dec. 4/5/6. If you haven't heard of my classes here is some basic info.

The class runs three days plus an optional fourth free day ( Friday, Saturday, Sunday and optional free Monday).

It doesn’t matter if you have zero experience or twenty years, you will learn! 48 hrs of hands on experience using only top quality tools.

You will leave my class knowing that building a perfect patch panel, fender, or a whole car body is possible and you don’t have to spend a fortune on tools. At every one of my classes the students leave knowing that they can achieve their personal goals. Compare the quality and difficulty level of the panels made at this class ( check out all of the pictures) with ones made at other classes.

Learn how to make perfect panels using new and unique techniques I have developed over the last 30 years.

Learn in a fully tooled 20000 sq ftshop in Charlton, Massachusetts. One of the nicest shops dedicated to shaping sheet metal in the world. We have students and collector car customers from all over the world.

This sheet metal coach-building class is comprehensive, covering all aspects of the craft/art of sheet metal shaping including correct welding techniques for aluminum and steel sheet metal. In this class you will see and try how the different approaches to shaping metal work and the results they yield.

If you have the desire to learn how to shape sheet metal panels this is the class that will answer all questions. If you would like to know anything more please don't hesitate to call, email, or visit our website.

  2. Dude you rock. If it took me twelve steps from Texas, I'd be there in a heart beat. Wish more guys like you, screamed from the rafters here. I'd be there with my dunce cap and lunch box eight days a week. Good luck with your class.

I took Wray"s 3 day class last year and learned more from him than any other class I've taken and was able to make some parts for my Mercury that I'm very proud of. He first and foremost is a real craftsman and has a lot of patience with old timers like me. I really appreciate everything I learned Wray and hope you are doing well- Wish I could come again this year!

I would so love to do this, but your shop is 860 miles from here. Two days, each way, to drive that. Can't do it right now.

Any chance you'll do a class next summer? You're not that far from our vacation cottage on the Jersey Shore. If the timing worked out, I might be able to make a combined trip.

Wray, I would really like to take one of your classes. My pal Mike Ready knows you well, and has always tried to get me to go cross-country.....
As you know, it is very hard to get away when you have your own business to run, and even more of a problem when you have to ante up air fare and accommodation money. I live in hope, though, and perhaps if I get an early note about your 2016 Schedule, you never know....

By the way--If any of you are thinking of this, you will never regret it.....Wray is one of the real Modern Metalshaping Masters who can teach and wants to share his knowledge...

  12. Hey there Wray,
So a couple logistics questions :
    What's the closest airport?
And how from your shop is it?
    Decent Hotels close by?
    Walking distance ?

That info would help me (and others I suppose) in investigating lining up a flight, hotel, car package.

How many guys are in a class?
Does the class make parts or shapes?
Can group class attendees make what they might need?

Also I see in some photo captions that "1 on 1 class" is there. Can you explain some about the one on one class please?

31Vicky, I'd like to refer you to my Shop P.R. specialist who can help you with all your questions, as I am very busy with the class today. His name is Johnny Trebizo and you can add him on facebook, if that works for you?

  14. Having Johnny handle my questions would be great. But I don't do Facebook.

No problem. You can email us at wesparts@charter.net and either I or Johnny will answer. I will have him write down your questions now so we can respond to them.
    Thanks - Wray.

Via email, Here's the partial answer to my question. I'm guessing it would be helpful to others

You can use Logan (Boston's airport) or Bradley ( Hartford's airport). Both are about a hour away.
Sturbridge, MA the next town over from the shop has 12 motels. I have been sending students to the Days Inn in Sturbridge.
You can rent a car at either airport.
Check out my Instagram pictures. Look under proshaperllc or my Facebook pictures look under Wray Schelin. Also check out the pictures on my websiteproshaper.com. That will give you and idea of what can be accomplished at the class.
