Technical 53 and 54 Chevy hoods the same?

I believe they are the same...but does anybody know for sure

 

99% sure they are but not 100%
This will give you a bump anyway

 

Different part numbers in the 1954 parts book, but in the 1957 parts book they were listed together (using the 54 part number) which tells me they will interchange. Probably just differences in the holes for emblems.

 

There must be someone on here that has tried this ....anyone?
