Technical Anyone got an idea what this Steering Box Came From

A good friend just bought an old Drag Car, Sort of a Model A ch***is, with
out the side cowl steering, this is the box that was included....Anyone got
an idea what it might have come from...Can't find a name on it ....Sorry
for the bad photo, best he could do with his Cell Phone...

 

I think I have seen that steering box before

 

Looks like a Corvair box. HRP

 

Too squaty for a Corvair.

Looks like it could be industrial, like out of a forklift or some other specialty equipment.

 

Can I see the other side, looks a lot like a 1920's Franklin. This was the steering box of choise for all dirt cars in the 1920-early 1950's era. Bob

it's for sale but you have to buy the whole car that it is from. it is on craigslist Minneapolis as vintage drag car
