My buddy picked up this 1962 Falcon Wagon as payment for Hudson paint job a while back. H***led him for a couple of years, until he finally sold it to me about a year ago. It has a tired 6, ****ed clutch, it sits too low- but I love it! I have been lazy over the last year, but I am finally getting stuck into it. Combination of no garage, having the car stored about 45 minutes from where I live, and also lack of funds have contributed to this. Starting this thread to track progress, and keep me motivated. Also got a Model A Tourer in the build as well- so my time is stretched! Pretty solid, with the only serious rust at the front of the drivers side sill, and few spots in the tailgate. Plans are: -Rust removal -Tidy up chrome+trim -Leave original patchy paintwork (for now) -14" Mustang 6cyl wheels (maybe reversed, and chromed) -White walls -Sort out suspension -Interior tidy-up -Give the motor a freshen up -Drive it. Long term plans: -Late model 302 (converted to carb) + auto -Disc brakes -Centura Diff (or similar) -Collapsible column -Interior refit -Paint -Other stuff I haven't thought of yet. Cheers, Matt (Melbourne, Australia) Here is a pic:
Nice old Foulcan. It's a shame that we never got the 2 door Foulcan wagons, Ford were tight ****s with tooling as Ozzie Rancheros used the short doors.
Just a observation, but I don't recall venation blinds in the rear side windows on Falcons here in the States but seems quiet common in Australia, were they factory or a aftermarket piece? HRP
Really nice. Had a couple of '63's myself,, 'vert & hardtop. I don't think WW's are gonna' be a help,, JMO,,,I know,,,,, everybodys got one.
