Amazing how much a stock '54 Ford grill looks like a custom piece just by leaving the center bullet off. HRP
Please educate me. Has the green and purple car had the hood welded to the upper grille surround ? I have a tube grille like the red car but have not entirely decided about the surrounding body work. I am considering doing that ''peaked look'' of the green car to mine.
#1 is perfect for me. Interesting what HRP said. Gets you wondering, but one can see that there is a lot more work to it than just bolting in a dif year grille.
Not sure of the grill opening differences between 54 and 55 but the 55 Plymouth grill, on the first one, bolts into the 55 Ford opening. I elected to keep the stainless around the opening where the first one decided to peak the opening.
I have them. Using LED turn lights from a motorcycle. They are fairly bright even on a sunny day and they really show up when they are flashing in a turning scenario. [/IMG]
Notice the '54 Fords using the '55 grille surround trim? I also found some really nice used step plates from a '55 will fit my '54 only had to re- drill several mounting holes.
58-60 TBird bumper on my 56 Victoria. Also decided to make my own grille insert to be able to fill the grille opening with more bars. The stock TBird grille only has 7 or 8 bars in it. Lots of work but something I always wanted to do.
Pontiac grillss were done in the 50's and the rear 55 Pontiac bumpers with the overrider look killer on 52-54 fords
