I want to change It over from a single pot master to a dual pot master and am not sure what master to use .I saw on another post that the 1967 mustang 4 wheel drum master is what I want to use But wasnt sure If I need to run proportining valves or anthing else?? Or can i just put the master on and hook up the lines to the master and Go Like Hell!!!! PLEASE HELP !!!!!!

Thanks did you just bolt it in place or did you need a new push rod for it?? And the fittings for the stoplight switch were purchased at the local auto parts store??for the stop light switch??

it bolted up with the original holes but i had to use my stock push rod. The fitting for the stop light switch was retapped for co**** thread. You maybe able to find something else that could work in your part of town. I could have used 50 pounds of fitting but tapping it was easier and a little cleaner looking. So far it's been working great.

I just did my 66 Galaxie which is closer in size to your Monterey. Since I have power brakes, I used an MC from a 67 Galaxie with 4 wheel drum, power brakes. Surprisingly the front and rear pots are different sizes like on a drum/disk car. The non-power MC has equal size pots for the 4 wheel drum. Just telling you this because I kept expecting both sides to be equal for a 4 wheel drum even if it was power. It took seeing one on a car and 4 different store brands to finally convince me they were selling me the correct one.

Anyway, it was really easy. No prop valve needed if you are staying with 4 wheel drums. All you do is split the circuits, bend some lines and an ***ortment of br*** fittings. On my 66, there is a br*** block mounted on the frame directly below the MC. I located which one was for the rear circuit and unscrewed it from the block and installed a br*** plug. I plumped this to the rear port on the MC using some br*** fittings. Did the same with the front.

Get some speed bleeders. They are bleeder screws with one way check valves. Makes bleeding the brakes a one man job. About $10 a pair. Russell makes them and also Motormite (HELP! parts section). Best improvement I ever did.
