Here's the little green one in a photo session for Gasoline Magazine yesterday. Photographer Hakan Erixon.
Here's my grandpa's t roadster overhead valve with a Columbia two speed! My brother now owns this car
Birdog that T is amazing, any current pictures? Does it still have the OHV banger in it? I'd love to hear more about that car.
This is the guy who rebuilt it again in 51 his name is Jim and he bought it from his shop teacher it was already channeled with filled wheel wells on the 33 ch***is with no motor. He dropped a build 59a into it
Only other phot I have I'd with my grandma standing by it. Sadly all his pics of his hotrod were destroyed in a flood except a few. He had multiple chopped 32-34 coupes. He worked at a wrecking yard so he got his hands on a lot of old cars lol. I will find a pic of it now but it's just the body and a few other parts. The drive train was eventually sold off but he hung the body up in the rafters tell last year when we pulled it down for my brother to build.
@MannyK that is the Duke Hallock roadster, it survives today and is owned by Jackie Howerton, these days it is fenderless and has a '32 grille.
the Hallock roadster used a `36 cadillac grille, i believe. i`ve been looking for one a long time. tom
That is a beautiful car just like it was. Oh well like I've said for years. "If you think your car is finished sell it to someone else."
The Hallock roadster looks good fenderless as it is today, but the original look with the caddy grill is outstanding. Very subtle yet changed just enough to stand out in a crowd. (JMHO)
Yeah, it's kinda odd...with the popularity of hot rods with provenance being restored left and right this one didn't end up with a big part of its personality. I heard the grill was sold off fairly recently in the cars history.
It's a tough call. It belongs to it's present owner so it's his to do with as he sees fit. So now it is just another nice Duce roadster, not a small thing, instead if a great Duce roadster with a historic and unique look.
