Technical what's the most you hp you can push out of a 1952 262 6cylinder, and mods to get there?

I've seen pics of a super charger mounted on the side, but not sure if it was a 262 or a 308 or a newer 308, was reading they made the motors better in 1955 where the motor could handle performance mods,

 

Stock was 127HP. You can getup to another 40 HP with normal mods or with a supercharger. The 308 continued until 1956. Last year for the 262 was 1954.

If I had a 262 I would leave it stock or maybe do a mild hop up for laughs. But only after tearing the engine down and making sure rings, bearings, valves, oil pump etc are up to spec. An old engine may run for years if you baby it, but blow sky high as soon as you try to hop it up.

Uncle Bill , that's the plan I was leaning more towards, I want to keep a hudson motor in it, rusty I've rebuilt the motor and trans and clutch, nothing fancy , but would defiantly go a different direction on rebuild if , I go to hop it up

 

Heard from another guy he use to toss in moth balls , not to sure about all that, lol
