  1. Is this the one you're after Flatattack? If so, sorry, it's the only one I've got.

I sold it to HAMB'er Gasserfreak and he sold it to HAMB'er Fireball500. I don't know what's happened to it since then. I've written him several times but never heard back. I think he lives way Northeast...maybe even lower Canada. I've never seen or heard of this car again anywhere. I heard something about "restoring" it.

Here is a pic of an old Hamber's car, Dr. Chop, I think he no longer posts here. It sucks, because I was really digging the vision he had with his 54 Ford. The last I saw of it, was a pic of it in black suede. He does not update his site any more. If you google * "Dr chop" 54 sledd * more of what he did to it will come up. (I just don't want to link to another board out of respect for the HAMB)

Here's my '53, four inch blocks in the rear, '54 chev grille, tuck and roll. Replacing the flattie and 3 speed with a 302 AOD this very moment.

yea man,,, Doc Chops sled was KILLER... the amount of work he put into that thing was insane.

tunneled headlights, 5" channel, sewer-side doors using STOCK hinges, awesome lid lowering... man that car is SICK!!!

i wonder what ever happened to him?

    anyone

Thanks mate - on airbags with assistance from 2" blocks in the rear and 2 1/2" stubs up front. '53 Caddy caps etc

As much as I love some of those customs and especially the Gasser, the Merc from X38 is on the money.

Anyone have more pics of this car??

    Hey Guys,

I'm a newbie here, and to the whole rodding scene. I just purchased a 1954 Ford Customline and have already started modding it. I just installed 3" lowering blocks in the rear, but I encountered a problem. I can't pull the rear wheels off--they get stuck between the brake drum and the fender lip. And, yes, I am jacking from the bumper and not the axle...Have you guys encountered the same problem? If so, how did you resolve the issue?

Also, is there a secret to pulling the front coil springs out? I have a service manual for the car, but the front arm set-up is different on my car (no inner rod on the lower a arm). I tried using a coil spring compressor to no avail...Thanks guys!

question number one, hammer and dolly the inner lip on top of the wheel opening, and that should buy you about an inch or so... that or get shorter dropping blocks.. . P.S. hows it handle with 3" blocks?

second question - coil spring removal:
jack up the car, put it on stands, then lift up on the lower control arm under the balljoint to compress the spring but not enough to lift the car, remove the shock, and unbolt the lower ball joint from the control arm... let the jack down nice and slow, and out comes the spring.

Get rid of those radials and get some proper Bais-ply tires on there . Some good tall skinny tires will drop right out of there , no problem .
