image.jpeg Here's the motor mounts Sparks Speed Shop was going to use. I guess they thought they were working with a 4 cylinder instead of a hot rod Chevy V8.

Thank you for providing inspiration for me to do my own work. I don't need to drop $8K for work that I can screw up myself for free.

Sorry to hear of the bad deal. That's some shitty work. They got a Facebook page for the shop, tag them in some photos to let everyone see their work.

You got a good lookin truck, can't wait to see it back on track with your plan.

They've blocked me and most of my friends because of the review I left. My review on Yelp is still there though.

  8. wow, i was thinking, for that many hours, it would have all been painted. i just did a job like this, except not a rear change. sbc, 700r4, shifter, exhaust, painted everything etc......less than 80 hrs.

The '52 is finished and on the road. Big thanks to Bud's Automotive in St.Charles, Mo for their fantastic work. Everything that was done before had to be taken out (including the cheesy wiring job) and the whole project started over from scratch. The truck runs and drives great.

  11. Truck looks nice, hopefully the fun of driving it now will help offset the pain of the first shop.

Wow suck down time with that shop tho horrible work looks like my 5 year old could have done better. Just breathe, ride and enjoy the truck looks awesome. Reading this forum keeps me motivated to just reasearch my own parts and do my own work lol.

I love driving it already. I wish I was a master mechanic with enough space for a lift in my garage and had every tool at my disposal. I mean, I can do a lot of my own work but definitely not everything. Thankful to know people that are experienced and willing to take on the job of correcting someone else's incompetence. I appreciate all of the well wishes from everyone here. I'm sure I'll add some of my pinstriping to it soon.
