Hot Rods Can Anyone ID This Early Updraft Intake

    Got this intake with a box of old carbs...overall length is 9 7/8" so it's pretty small...anyone have any idea what it fits? Has A44g cast into it..

    I think it is a down draft from someting in the 1920's. Bob

    I too though a downdraft 20's somethingorother.

    But lets not rule out side draft either.

    [​IMG]This is a '28 Chevy...there are several similar manifold designs on the various years of this basic engine. The design looks more suited for an engine with opposite side manifolds like this than one with intake and exhaust manifolds interleaved on one side.
     
  5. I wonder if it's a V8 downdraft crossover, like a Cadillac or Lincoln?
