I am looking to replace the shocks on the front of my 32 Coupe and am leaning toward Bilsteins. Has anyone used these and which particular shock did you use? Any input appreciated.

Bilsteins are OEM on Mercedes and possibly other German cars. I have put them on Mercedes as replacements but don't know any other details. I buy German parts from Autohaus in Arizona, they give good service and low prices.

Worth EVERY penny! It took Elpolacko almost two years to talk me into a set for the Plymouth, but they were the best money I have spent on that car for it's handling. My part numbers are irrelevant because of the Mustang II front end, but good stuff none the less.

they use them on the upper end chevys and some pontiacs ( yes chevys , My base v6 firebird had them on the rear ) and some of Gms SUV's , for me they are a little too stiff , but then again I am a typical American and like my cushy Mushy Ride .

Following recommendations on Bilsteins from an Illinois hotrod bud, I ordered/rec'd from Race Car Dynamics in El Cajon, Ca, believe Jim was the guy..........all he needed for my avatar 39 Ford sdn was front & rear axle weights which I did at local hwy scales and eye-eye measurement of tube shocks (all supplied w/kits & none had any compression in supposedly new shocks) at rest.......he made up from that information and sourced out shocks with same spec's/size/weight/etc........quick service & price was most reasonable......definitely would do business w/RCD and Jim again........not the first time I've used Bilsteins & love them, have on my 57 Belair and 01 Lightning.........also have on my BB Corvette vintage road racer, although these ones were $500+ per corner.......some consider Bilsteins too firm, but that's the ride I'm looking for.........

I put the shocks on the front, and the coil overs on the rear of my 32 coupe. Big difference and great quality pieces.

Had a set that came on my OT 95 chevy pickup. Sold it in 2012 at about 340,000mi and they were still working fine. Convinced me.

[IMG] X2!! Don't know if they can be seen in the pics but I put 1 3/4 exhaust tubing over the tops to make them look older. Pete
