Thanks for allowing me to be part of the group, everyone. A little about me if you care: I'm a life-long Alaskan and love it. Love Cars, Trucks, motorcycles, boats ans ATV's. Never had the opportunity to learn how to fix/build them, but always wanted to. I now own a 1953 Chevy pickup. Its not much, but has potential and thanks to another of the longtime members of this group, Kona Cruiser, I have the ability to "get into the scene" if you will. I have a pretty cool home shop and we will be building there. Can't wait to get started and converse with the lot of you. I've been stalking the HAMB for the past few weeks, and it seems that you are all a very intelligent, professional group with a plethora of knowledge. Thanks again!

I like it better when we listen to Prince in the shop.

He's an journeyman sparky, so all isn't lost.

And kolt, check out the A in the upper right corner, check out the garage journal too, and dog fight mad, some of Ryan's other sites.

Hi & welcome from Texas. What's the plan on the 53 truck? Does it still have the inline 235 CI engine? Parts for that engine & truck are very easy to find if you know where to look. That is what I have in my 46 Chevy Coupe & shown in my avatar here. Bored 0.060, hot cam, hardened valve seats, HEI ignition, 12 volts, Headers, dual 2 barrel Weber carbs on a Clifford intake & 353 gears in the rear end. Made it a great Hwy driver. Cruises at 65 MPH at 2500 RPM & great gas mileage. That is fast enough for me as it is still using all original suspension.
If you need info on parts or tech help just post a thread on the HAMB & keep us updated with photo's. We are interested. Jimmie
