Well I broke my car Friday night but I put in the secret weapon for Sunday and got the best time ever for the heap.

 

Just want to remind everyone who's staying for supper Sat. night(and maybe camping also) that Jimmy "Redsled" Whitley will be bringing a huge grill for all of us to cook whatever we bring. If you want to set up the sides on a "pot luck" table, we can do that also.
That big ol' grill eats charcoal, so please bring a bag if you plan to join in on cooking on it. It's huge and plenty of room for all of our food.

 

Hopefully so, I almost felt bad last year whooping on that Phord I guess this year he can show me what for

Dave are y'all planning along the same lines as last year for the main course? Man that poke was out of this world good!

Scot, I'll have to talk to my son and see iff'n he's gonna have time to cook it. Won't bore you with details right now, but my son Frank, who cooked that meat last year, has a helluva lot happening right there in a one week period. I just called him after I read your post, and he said that he would have to give it some thought. Lets start a discussion about this part of it over on SFCC.

We will be driving back home, Saturday night. We are leaving, after the wife gets off Friday, and staying the night, on the way down. But when the event is over, we are heading back. I hope to have a friend, coming with us to help drive. As I said earlier, we are on a budget now. So we need to watch, how much we spend.

 

Bring a gas truck, unleaded is $1.86 gal here in my neck of the woods. Diesel is ~$2.28 gal. Never understood why diesel costs more at the pump, when gasoline takes a bit more refining than diesel.

OK I am calling out everyone. 1/8 Mile.... Who wants some. I might run the 1/4. But not very many times. The truck just does not like it. With the big fender scoops, flat grille, flat firewall, flat windshield, cow scoop over the windshield, and a truck bed.

 

Bad A, I'm sure you'll find folks ready to run with you, just depends on who shows up that isn't posting so here. Sorta sneakey, ain't it.

Just spoke to Ed Swearingen on the phone, and they are cleaning up after the circus that put up their big tents and had a show there on the Raceway Grounds this past weekend.
The grounds keeper crew cut down a dead tree there by our camping spot recently and cut it up and piled there for our use as firewood. So we won't need to cocern ourselves about bringing wood. My son Frank has a good chain saw and I'll see if he won't bring it along just in case we need to cut any up for the fire.
Remember there will be a large grill there for communal use, just bring some charcoal, please.

Just got the slicks mounted on the HA/GR, hopefully will be able to see what the slant six will run without spinning half the track. Looking forward to the show.
