Afternoon Guys, I am looking for some advice on a wheel/tire purchase for my '30 Ford. We are running fenders and I just sourced a Ford 9" rear end that will need to be narrowed. My thought process is as follows; I measured the distance from the inner fender to the outside lip which came in at 12". So my plan was to buy a 15x10 Cragar S/S wheel and run cheater slicks sized to fill the fenders as much as possible. Once we "stage" these wheels in the fender, I can take the measurement from wheel to wheel to get my required axle length and narrowing length required for the Ford 9". Does my process sound correct? First time doing anything like this. Am I giving myself enough room with a 10" wheel? I could always go to 9" but would like a wider tire in the back if possible. Thanks, Dust
Thanks, Yeah I'm a bit concerned. I'd hate to get the 10" wheels here and find they wont fit, Maybe I'll see what I can find in the 9" width, Thank you
