Early Saturday everything was backlit with a great sky, artsy fartsy stuff

 

This guy was awesome, 76 years old, never put is feet on the pegs, and kicked every bike's *** he went up against




Perfect wheel and tire? love the way it sits.

 

The br*** hood/sides was pretty cool looking polished but I bet after the salt spray it will get a true patina

Awesome pictures, man. Hate that it didn't work out to go together, but glad you were able to make it. Thanks for posting these. Makes me kick myself even harder for not being able to make it work. Couple weeks to RWYB! Get goin' on the coupe!

 

This sure looks like a rpu that came out of 29 Bones 'Sperling built' shop here in so cal a few years ago.

No big deal, but you did miss a good time. How about the Hot Rod Hill Climb next year? RWYB is a go but probably with the Dodge if I want to go down the track, it is the fastest thing I own. Wagon wont p*** tech, too many little things to do on it. The coupe progress is actually pretty good; motors together, fuel system close, breaks not close and no wiring, drive shaft, cross members or sheet metal yet. Looks like a Spring reveal to me.....

 

The end of day one was actually the time when I took what I consider my most favorite pics from the weekend. The crowds were filling out, most racers had left and a few of us were wandering through the pits.
