Anyone crazy enough to do one of these conversion on a Merc and have some pics? Thinking about doing this as the next project. I'm ***uming the way to go is to find a good pair or doors from a 2 door to save the work of lengthening the front doors from the 4 door car. I've searched and found some good conversion posts on some Chevys..but not a Merc. Just wondering. Thanks Jerry
I will be converting my wife's car as soon as I get off my ***. If you need extra front doors off a 4 door PM me I have a set. Good luck

there is a guy on the board ETHER (i think),,who did one,,i believe he do***ented it pretty well along the way,,,,,yes,,,using the 2 door doors is the way to go,,
I did this. It was easier than the chop. Here is a thread on it. I didn't do a very good job taking pics of it. I used 2 dr doors and b pillars. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82191&highlight=door
Here is my before picture. Having four doors was not the major problem that the Merc had. This is how much was added to the existing doors.... I have some more to do, but in time she will get done. I didn't do the conversion but Ralph Schindel did the procedure. Lot of work but if you have the tools and the time it can be done... Good Luck with the project. I have more pics if you need them. Happy Trails, Mick
