Hot Rods plugs or timing

have 331 stroker motor 11.5 compression,running 10 degs.in***al,25 total,plugs show and smell of gas,plugs are champ 63, 650 carb vac sec,

 

running alum heads and due to clearances must be non projected tips on plugs

 

Probably neither. Sounds (smells) like fuel.

 

what colour are the plugs?

 

I would expect to run about 34-36 degrees total timing on an engine like that. Add some advance.

 

Bad gas .

 

Power valve leaking?

 

Is it still knocking ?
